Mid-Iowa Community Action, Inc., is a private, non-profit organization serving children and families in central Iowa.  MICA's mission is to break the pattern of family pain in Hardin County. MICA provides many programs such as nutrition and health services, heating assistance, after-school activities, emergency assistance, family development, as well as Head Start and Early Head Start.

Hardin County Family Development Center

The Hardin County Family Development Center, located at 637 South Oak in Iowa Falls, offers many services to families.  Some of the programs available include: Head Start, Early Head Start, Family Development, energy assistance, food pantry, crisis services, weatherization, and many others.  Contact the Family Development Center at (641) 648-5036 or 1-877-290-5587 Visits are also welcome Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 5:00.
